About the Birth to Latch Doula Team
Hi there, I’m Becky! I’ve been supporting new families since 2016 as a birth and postpartum doula and parent educator in Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding communities. I’m also the owner of Birth to Latch.
At Birth to Latch, we truly believe that support for new parents begins during pregnancy and continues through the first year postpartum. Our team is here to help you feel supported as you navigate the transition into parenthood, providing evidence-based guidance, personalized care, and compassionate support every step of the way. We aim to help families feel confident in their decisions, listen to their bodies and intuition, and thrive in this transformative time.
Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and a holistic view of family support, helping not only the birthing person but the entire family unit. We are honored to work with diverse families, including immigrants, refugees, single parents, and trauma survivors, providing thoughtful, individualized care tailored to each unique journey.
Birth to Latch was founded by Becky Chavez, a first-generation Latinx woman (She/Her/Ella) and mother of three. Her personal experiences as a parent shaped the heart and vision of the agency, which is carried forward by our skilled and compassionate team.
We hope to support you in planning a birth and postpartum experience that feels informed, empowered, and centered on your family’s needs.

Our Team & Credentials
All doulas at Birth to Latch are fully certified doulas and bring extensive training in birth, postpartum, lactation, infant care, and parent education. Each doula carries different levels of experience in the doula field. Some of our team members also hold specialized certifications in child development, infant massage, lactation counseling, car seat safety, and craniosacral therapy just to name a few. We are committed to continuing education and providing trauma-informed, culturally humble, evidence-based support for every family we serve.
