Doula Services in the Eastern Los Angeles and Riverside Area

Eastern Los Angeles Doula | Claremont Doula

When I was called to the birth world it was through a dear friend who I know was placed in my path to guide me to help others. I did not have the same support during my own three pregnancies and three miscarriages. She shared with me the valuable information about birth doulas. I never knew that this experience could feel safe and without fear, having a guide by your side. Someone to believe in you, your body and your choices. When I am chosen to support you it is with all my heart.

Our Philosophy
We hold the perspective that childbirth is a natural event and holds significance. The manner in which your child is brought into the world holds importance, not only for you but also for your infant. We advocate for individuals giving birth and infants to receive care grounded in well-founded research. On occasion, interventions become necessary, and in such cases, we emphasize the birthing individual's entitlement to make informed decisions. We affirm the right of individuals with good health, delivering healthy babies, to choose their preferred birthing approach. Ultimately, you are deserving of considerate support, a Birth to Latch doula, and a serene, affectionate birthing encounter.

What is a doula?

A doula is a trained professional who can provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support before and during labor. Doulas have been proven to lower the need for an epidural and use of pitocin. A doulas role is to help you achieve the best most memorable and positive birth experience you can have. Your relationship with your doula starts months before your baby’s arrival navigating your strengths and fears. Think of a doula as a trained guide to help you along the way.

What does a doula do during your labor?

During labor, a doula offers emotional reassurance, maintaining a calming presence. They employ massage, movement guidance, and relaxation techniques to alleviate discomfort and anxiety. Through meditation and breathing exercises, doulas aid focus and relaxation. They provide evidence-based information, enabling informed decisions. Advocating for preferences, they bridge communication between the birthing person and medical team. Doulas also coach birthing partners on effective support. A doula's role encompasses emotional and physical aid, education, advocacy, and partner guidance to enhance the childbirth experience.
