Doula Services in the Eastern Los Angeles and Riverside Area

Eastern Los Angeles Doula | Claremont Doula

At Birth to Latch, every family is supported by a highly trained, certified doula backed by an agency of professionals.
That means continuity, reliability, and a team committed to your birth experience — not just one person.

We believe families thrive when doulas are supported, too.
That’s why every Birth to Latch doula receives ongoing mentorship, advanced training, evidence-based tools, administrative support, and access to our in-house specialists, including lactation care.
When your doula feels supported, you feel more supported.

Postpartum Doula Support

Support for your days. Rest for your nights.

The early weeks with a new baby can be beautiful, exhausting, emotional, and overwhelming—all at the same time. Our postpartum doulas provide experienced, nonjudgmental support tailored to your recovery, your baby, and your family's needs.

DAYTIME SUPPORT

Support while you recover, learn your baby, and find your rhythm.

Daytime postpartum support gives you an experienced set of hands your doula can:

  • Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, and combination feeding

  • Newborn care, soothing, diapering, bathing, and understanding baby cues

  • Postpartum recovery and emotional support

  • Bottle and pump-part washing and baby-related laundry

  • Light meal and nourishment support

  • Preparing for or accompanying you to pediatric appointments

  • Giving you an opportunity to shower, eat, rest, or simply have a moment to yourself

  • Helping partners build confidence caring for baby

  • Creating gentle routines that work for your family

NIGHTTIME SUPPORT

Experienced nighttime care so your family has more opportunity to rest.

Depending on your feeding plan and preferences, your overnight doula can:

  • Provide responsive newborn care throughout the night

  • Soothe, diaper, burp, and settle baby between feeds

  • Bottle-feed expressed breast milk or formula

  • Bring baby to you for breastfeeding and settle baby afterward

  • Support pumping routines

  • Wash and prepare bottles and pump parts

  • Track overnight feeds and diapers when requested

  • Help you understand newborn sleep patterns and cues

  • Support both parents as you navigate nighttime feeding and newborn care

Day, night—or a combination of both.

Every family enters postpartum with different needs. Some families want hands-on education and support during the day. Others have help during daytime hours but need more support overnight. Many families choose a combination of both.

We'll help you create a postpartum care plan based on your recovery, feeding goals, support system, schedule, and budget.

Using Insurance for Doula Care

Your insurance may include birth and postpartum doula benefits.

Birth to Latch works with select insurance plans that provide coverage for doula services throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Depending on your individual plan, benefits may include prenatal support and education, continuous labor and birth support, and postpartum doula visits.

Our team will help you understand your available benefits, connect you with a doula, and create a care plan based on the support you need.

How It Works

1. Verify Your Benefits
Complete our insurance verification form so we can confirm eligibility and review the doula services available through your plan.

2. Complete Your Intake
We'll meet with you to learn about your pregnancy, birth preferences, postpartum needs, and the type of support you're looking for.

3. Meet Your Doula
We'll connect you with a Birth to Latch doula based on your needs, location, availability, and personality fit. You'll work directly with your doula throughout your care.

4. Begin Your Doula Care
Depending on your benefits, your care may include prenatal visits, continuous labor and birth support, and postpartum visits after your baby arrives.

5. Add Additional Support When You Need It
Insurance benefits may not cover every service or all of the hours your family wants. Private-pay services can be added for additional daytime postpartum care, overnight support, classes, lactation services, or other extended support.
